Plus, every purchase of One Plastic Bag generates funds to the Women Initiative of the Gambia (WIG). These donations help the women and children of Njau, Gambia. Past donations have been used for food, community events, environmental initiatives, school fees, classes, supporting small women-owned businesses, and more.

Direct donations to the women’s registered nonprofit can be made in Gambia or through wiring funds through an international money transfer. The WIG main office is in Njau, Gambia. The Kombo area office is currently relocating. The organization is not currently registered as a US charity.
